Martin Jarvis (2015)
Martin Jarvis is one of Britain’s most versatile and best-loved actors. He recently starred in the West End in the acclaimed 'mature' version of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST. Received the Theatre World Award for his starring role as JEEVES on Broadway, also filmed for PBS. He has appeared in many ‘words and music’ recitals in Europe and the US, especially with renowned conductor Jane Glover, concert pianist Lucy Parham and leading orchestras.
Martin played Crocker Harris in Rattigan’s masterpiece THE BROWNING VERSION for LA Theatre Works, recorded for NPR. Appeared as Sir Cosmo Duff Gordon in the multi Oscar-winning Titanic. Starred in True Patriot opposite his old friend Michael York. Recent movies include: United Passions, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Framed and Wreck-It Ralph. Plus HBO’s Funny or Die opposite Danny De Vito, and Mamet’s Phil Spector with Al Pacino and Helen Mirren. TV in America: ‘American Dad’, ‘Cosmos,’ ‘Stargate Atlantis’, ‘Numb3rs,’ ‘Space: Above and Beyond,’ ‘Murder She Wrote’, ‘Walker Texas Ranger,’ ‘The Bunker’ (Emmy Award). Numerous West End appearances include HONOUR, Ayckbourn’s WOMAN IN MIND and HENCEFORWARD; Michael Grandage’s productions of THE DOCTOR’S DILEMMA and PASSION and Michael Frayn’s EXCHANGE. For three years, along with Judi Dench, he led Sir Peter Hall’s company at the Royal National Theatre in works by Pinter, Frayn, Shakespeare and Wilde. He has directed more than 100 major productions for BBC radio and NPR in America. Martin is invested by HM the Queen as OBE (Officer of the British Empire) for his services to Drama.
Martin has also done voice acting for some very popular video game franchises including the Batman: Arkham series, Mass Effect, and Disney Infinity. He also was a voice in Wreck It Ralph.
