This year’s Mormon Tabernacle Choir Christmas concerts are packed with talented performers, including returning Pioneer Day concert guest Laura Osnes, four Metropolitan Opera soloists, and British actor Martin Jarvis. Jarvis will serve as the narrator for the concerts and boasts a large resume full of roles you might recognize from every facet of performing arts. Let’s take a closer look at Martin Jarvis.

1. He voiced the character Saitine in Wreck-It Ralph in the Bad Anon self-help group scene.

2. He was in the 1997 hit movie Titanic as Sir Duff-Gordon and is present at the first-class dinner table scene.

3. He voices characters for many popular video games, including the following:

Star Wars: The Old Republic—Rise of the Hutt Cartel (voice of Energy Center Scientist)

Mass Effect 3 (voice of Admiral Zaal’Koris vas Quib Quib, Cerberus Commander, and Cerberus Scientist)

4. He has appeared on numerous American TV shows, including Cosmos; Stargate: Atlantis; Numb3rs; Space: Above and Beyond; Murder, She Wrote; Walker, Texas Ranger; andThe Bunker.

5. He has appeared on numerous UK TV shows, including Doctor Who, Law & Order: UK, Poirot, Marple, Inspector Morse, A Touch of Frost, David Copperfield, Lorna Doone, Nicholas Nickleby, and The Forsyte Saga.

6. He has performed in many of London’s West End theaters in shows such as Honour, Alan Ayckbourn’s Woman in Mind and Henceforward..., Michael Grandage’s productions of The Doctor’s Dilemma and Passion, and Michael Frayn’s Exchange.

7. He has directed more than 100 major productions for BBC radio and NPR in America.

8. He met his wife, Rosalind Ayres, when they played in Hamlet together; she played Ophelia.

9. He was awarded the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in the 2000 Queen's New Years Honors List for his services to drama.

10. Jarvis trained at Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he won the Vanbrugh Award and the Silver Medal.

The 2015 Christmas Concert will begin with a public dress rehearsal on Thursday, December 17, and concerts on Friday, December 18, and Saturday, December 19.
