The 12 Days of Christmas “Name That Tune” Contest
(Day 1)
How would you like to win some awesome prizes for your musical knowledge? Here’s how you can do it:
Over the next few weeks (about every two days) we will be posting videos for each musical phrase of “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” In each video, principal organist Richard Elliott explains his “Twelve Days of Christmas” collaboration with Count von Count and shows a clip of the music. Your job is to guess the name of the counter-melody underneath the melody of the actual song.
To enter, go to www.mormontabernaclechoir.org, click on Shop and then on the “Keep Christmas With You, 12 Days of Christmas Sweepstakes” button. With each new video (with the exception of the first) we will give the previous day’s answer and show a clip containing the next day’s question. Once you think you have the answer, enter your name and email, and then use the drop down to select the song you think Richard Elliott is playing!
Twelve daily winners (each a “Daily Winner”) will be selected by random drawing from among those eligible entries submitted during the applicable entry period and will win a CD and DVD of Keep Christmas With You. One grand prize winner (“Grand Prize Winner”) will be selected by random drawing from among the twelve Daily Winners and will receive two tickets to this year’s Christmas concert with Laura Osnes and Martin Jarvis. See the contest form and official rules. Good luck!
