How to Get 2016 Christmas Concert Tickets

It’s early to talk about Christmas since fall has just arrived, but ticket distribution for the 2016 Christmas concerts by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Bells on Temple Square is changing. This article provides readers advance notice of this change.

The Choir, Orchestra, and Bells will perform their annual Christmas concerts in the Conference Center on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah on Thursday, December 8; Friday, December 9; and Saturday, December 10, 2016. Tickets for these concerts are required, but will continue to be free of charge.

2016 Ticket Distribution Changes

Instead of the random selection distribution of tickets used in prior years, tickets will be distributed on a first-comefirst-served basis — similar to tickets for Pioneer Day concerts and the First Presidency Christmas Devotional. Patrons will be able to see which nights are available and will know at the end of their selection which night they have received.

On Saturday, October 15 at 10 a.m. (Mountain Daylight Time) tickets were available to the public exclusively online at lds.org/events. All tickets have been claimed. There will be no phone requests for tickets, and tickets will not be available in person through the Conference Center Ticket Office. Each patron will be able to request four tickets. Admission is open to those eight years of age and over.

No Tickets Required for December 11 Music & the Spoken Word

The 30-minute Music & the Spoken Word broadcast on Sunday, December 11 will contain music and guest artist performances from the evening concerts. This Sunday morning event at 9:30 a.m. will not require tickets.  Patrons will need to be seated in the Conference Center no later than 9:15 a.m.
