This Happened in 2015
2015 was a landmark year for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir—it was a year so jam-packed with firsts and highlights that it was hard to keep up with it all. Because the Choir dates back to 1847, you might think they have seen it all. Surprisingly, they haven't—and that’s what makes life with America’s Choir so interesting.

The Choir Films a Music Video in a Men’s Prison
Until this video for "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly," you would have never mentioned the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and prison in the same sentence, but the setting makes for perfect backdrop for a redemption story.
Mormon Tabernacle Choir Sings the University of Utah Fight Song on ESPN's College GameDay
Let’s be fair…prior to this ESPN appearance, the Choir was singing “Hallelujah” for a BYU story on quarterback Tanner Mangum’s hail Mary passes.
The Mormon Tabernacle Choir Announces First European Tour in Almost 20 Years
The Choir and Orchestra will kick off the tour with performances in Berlin and Nuremberg, Germany, before heading to Vienna, Austria, and Zurich, Switzerland. They will then head back to Germany for a concert in Frankfurt, followed by concerts in Brussels, Belgium, and Rotterdam, Netherlands, before concluding the tour in Paris, France.

The Choir Performs “The Star Spangled Banner” in Yankee Stadium
While we’re on the subject of tour, the Choir embarked on an East Coast tour like no other in the summer of 2015. The East Coast swing included stops in Boston, Massachusetts, and Bethesda, Maryland, as well as stops in New York in places such as Bethel Woods (the site of the original 1969 Woodstock festival), Saratoga Springs, Carnegie Hall, and Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. This tour marked the first time the Choir has performed at Yankee Stadium.

Santino Fontana Performs with the Choir Three Times in a Year
2015 marked the third time Broadway and film actor Santino Fontana performed with the Choir and the first time a performer has appeared three times in a one-year span. His first and second performances took place during Pioneer Day and Christmas concerts. The Christmas concert is available on CD, DVD, and digital and features The Muppets® from Sesame Street®. The third appearance was in February 2015 at the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) concert. Watch Fontana's complete Pioneer Day performance:
The Choir Reaches a Milestone 4,500th Broadcast

“Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing” is the first all-Choir video to reach one million views on YouTube. The mark was reached in January of 2015, and the video is already close to two million views. Watch the video and see why:
