The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square are excited to announce new dates and details for their 2021 Heritage Tour. Originally planned for 2020, the tour was postponed due to COVID-19 limitations throughout the world. 

The new rescheduled tour will include performances in the same cities planned for 2020 and will cover 22 days from Thursday, 17 June to Thursday, 8 July 2021. 

“We are delighted that with the significant cooperation of the performance venues and our travel partners we have been able to reschedule this tour for these dates in 2021,” said Choir president Ron Jarrett. “We will still be able to realize the original concept for the tour to visit Wales and other areas with heritage to the Choir whose first members were early converts to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with musical talents from these locations.”

TICKETS

Prior to the rescheduling of the tour, tickets were on sale in Stockholm and Edinburgh. For patrons who purchased tickets for these 2020 concerts, arrangements have been made to transfer these tickets to the new 2021 concert dates. Both of these venues will be in contact with ticket holders via email about ticket procedures. The email from Stockholm will provide refund request information. Edinburgh ticketholders can email customer.enquiries@usherhall.co.uk to request a refund.

Stockholm and Edinburgh: Ticket sales have resumed.

Copenhagen: Tickets will go on sale on Monday, 6 July 2020. 

All Other Locations:  Ticket availability will be announced in the future.

CHOIR TOURS

Since its first tour outside of Utah in 1893, the Choir has toured extensively across the United States and in other countries. In addition to its previous tours to Europe, it has performed in music capitals from Israel and Russia to Japan and Australia. Its travels have also included performances at the inaugurations of seven U.S. presidents. A complement of approximately 65 members of the Orchestra has travelled on tour with the Choir since 2005. 

The all-volunteer Choir and Orchestra usually tour every other year since all of the performers must take vacation time from their jobs and leave their families to undertake the travel. Their most recent tours included visits to seven European countries in 2016 and the Classic Coast Tour in 2018 to California, Washington, and British Columbia, Canada.
