The First Video on Our YouTube Channel to Reach 1 Million Views
Of all the memorable Christmas concert moments throughout the years, one of the most unforgettable showstoppers came from English tenor Alfie Boe—his incredible rendition of “Bring Him Home” from Les Misérables brought down the house during the 2012 Christmas concerts that took place in the Conference Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Of the song, a writer forEntertainment Weekly wrote, “You would have to have a heart full of stones to not fall in love with Alfie Boe’s version of ‘Bring Him Home.’”
“Bring Him Home” is officially the first video on the Choir’s YouTube channel to reach the 1 million view mark. “That song is so special to me. . . . It’s a wonderful, emotional piece. It changed my life. It developed my career and turned things around for myself. Every time I sing it, I love it, and I never get tired of singing it," said Boe. In October 2010, Boe portrayed the role of Jean Valjean in a 25th anniversary performance of the musical Les Misérables at the O2 Arena in London.
When Boe was invited to perform with the Choir he said, “I was blown away. I was very flattered. It was a concert I was looking forward to for more than a year once I was asked to participate. I was counting down the days. The choir has such a great reputation, a wonderful history. They are amazing singers, amazing performers.”
