Celebrating a Legacy: March 7 Special Concert!
The public is invited—no tickets will be required—to “Celebrating a Legacy,” a special concert of The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square, the Bells on Temple Square, and the Gabriel Herald Trumpets on Saturday, March 7, at 8:00 p.m. in the Tabernacle on Temple Square. This concert is being presented for the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) Western Regional Conference being held in Salt Lake City. The public is also invited to attend at no charge.
This will be a concert you won’t want to miss!
The concert program includes a wide range of choral music celebrating the musical legacy of The Tabernacle Choir’s milestones: live performances since the mid-1800s when it was first organized; recording since 1910 at the beginning of the recording era; and their 90-plus years of broadcasting Music & the Spoken Wordnow available throughout the world on radio, television, and Internet. The Orchestra at Temple Square joined the Choir in the spotlight more than two decades ago, expanding the repertoire with a vibrant new dimension; the Bells on Temple Square soon followed, adding a touch of sparkle to concert performances.
- Doors to the Salt Lake Tabernacle will open at 7:00 p.m.
- Reserved seating is provided for ACDA conference participants, but the public is welcome as well.
