Internationally acclaimed Norwegian-born singer Sissel joined the Choir and Orchestra as the featured guest for the 2019 concert. Known for her “exquisite, crystalline, and captivating” voice, Sissel first performed with the Choir in 2005 on Music & the Spoken Word and in 2006 for the Choir and Orchestra’s annual Christmas concerts. Audiences fell in love with her. “The sincerity and purity of her voice captivates everyone who hears it,” remarked Mack Wilberg, music director of the Choir.
Special guest artists from Broadway—singers Matthew Morrison and Laura Michelle Kelly—joined Oscar “Andy” Hammerstein III and The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square to present the 2018 edition of Music for a Summer Evening.
