Famous Faces Add Their Voices to the World’s Largest “Hallelujah” Chorus
As if singing with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir wasn’t enough, there are now more reasons to join this historic gathering of voices—some famous names are submitting their videos to be a part of the Choir’s epic virtual chorus, set to the music of the “Hallelujah” chorus from Handel’s masterpiece, Messiah.
You know them from television, stage, film, and YouTube, and now they will be seen once again in the world’s largest virtual “Hallelujah” chorus with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Check out some of these names who have already joined in.
While the names above are professional singers, you don’t have to be. All voices and skill levels are welcomed and encouraged to join. In a video posted by Donny Osmond, he said, “It doesn’t matter if you’re an accomplished singer or not, just go to the website…and follow the instructions.”
Don’t miss this once in a lifetime massive event! You can access the sheet music and a sing-along video to help guide you through the process of making your own video at virtualchoir.mormon.org. Peter Hollens and his wife, Evynne, have recorded videos for four individual singing parts (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) as a guide. The deadline for entry is March 1, 2016. #Hallelujah
