FAQs For Charity Cruise Cancellation

Why is the charity cruise being cancelled?

The abbreviated booking window for the cruises did not allow time for sufficient bookings to provide the positive onboard experience that is the hallmark of Azamara cruises. For this reason, Azamara is providing booked guests with attractive options enabling them to have a great cruise experience and still donate to a worthy cause.

Who do I contact with questions? Is there a live person I can talk to?

We encourage guests who booked through a travel advisor to consult with them in order to make their choice. Guests who booked directly with Azamara may select their preferred option or make changes to their booking by calling 855-AZAMARA (292-6272).

What are my options now?

Guests who booked either the 5-day or the 7-day voyages (or both) have these options:

  1. Shift their bookings to any another Azamara sailing of up to 14 days in length during June or July at the rate paid (extra taxes and fees apply), or
  2. Receive a future cruise credit for the amount paid to be used on another Azamara voyage in the following 12 months, or
  3. Cancel for a full refund.

When do I need to confirm my selection by?

Guests will need to select their preferred option by June 5, 2022.

I understand that Azamara will let me book another cruise of up to 14 days, even though I just booked a 5-day (or a 7-day) cruise. Are there any extra fees or taxes that I need to pay?

Yes, this is the one incremental cost guests must pay if they choose an alternate cruise in June or July 2022. Azamara does not control these fees and taxes, and guests must pay any difference.  

I booked a 5-day and a 7-day cruise. Can I book a new cruise for each of them so I can get two 14-day cruises?

Yes, guests booked on either or both voyages will be able to use each booking for a new cruise of their choosing and sail during June or July. If guests prefer to sail at a later time during the following 12 months (June 2022-June 2023) they can use a credit in the amount they paid for the charity cruise they booked.

If I can book two individual cruises, can I transfer one of them to a family member or friend?

Yes, guests with a charity cruise booking may transfer to a family member or friend.  

I got some shipboard credits for booking both the 5-day and the 7-day cruise. How are those credits going to be affected by this change?

Shipboard credits will only transfer if the guest moves their booking to another June or July 2022 cruise. Choosing an future cruise credit or refund will cancel any shipboard credits.

What are the limitations for taking the trip? Does it have to be completed by a certain time?

If guests choose to request a future cruise credit, guests will be able to redeem it for another voyage sailing within the following 12 months of their originally scheduled charity cruise booking.  

If I take credit for a future Azamara cruise, how long do I have to book that cruise?

If guests choose to request a future cruise credit, guests will be required to redeem and sail within the following 12 months of their originally scheduled charity cruise departure (June 17, 2022 or June 24, 2022)..

I really wanted to help the charities by taking this cruise. Is there still going to be a donation made to the charity if I rebook or take a future credit?

Yes, The Tabernacle Choir and Azamara will honor the donations to the previously announced charities for any guests who still choose the future cruise credit or move to a June or July 2022 sailing.

Is the donation to the charities going to be the same as I was originally told?

Yes, The Tabernacle Choir and Azamara will honor the donations to the previously announced charities, based on already booked guests for both charity cruises. Refund requests will not result in a donation.

If I request a full refund, how long will it take?

Refunds are generally processed within about one week of request. Guests must call to request a refund, otherwise, a 100% future cruise credit will be issued automatically.

I made airline reservations. Can you offer any help with rescheduling them?

Azamara can assist with any air booked through Azamara.
