Final Tour Preparation: June 14 Concert in the Tabernacle!

Before the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square head west for their 2018 tour, they finish their preparations with a pre-tour concert featuring the repertoire to be performed on the road. The public is invited to attend the concert in the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Thursday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are not required. Admission is open to everyone five (5) years of age and older. Doors to the Tabernacle will open at 7:00 p.m.

Music for the seven tour concerts has been drawn from the Choir’s wide repertoire, which ranges from choral masterworks to inspirational music from around the world to American folk hymns and much more. “There is nothing quite like hearing the Choir and Ochestra live in concert and experiencing their signature all-encompassing sound,” remarked Ron Jarrett, president of the Choir. “We love going on the road and seeing firsthand the pure joy music can bring to the hearts and minds of our fans.”

For those fortunate to live in or near the 2018 tour cities, tickets are still available—except in Seattle, which is sold out. Seating is limited in some venues and may sell quickly.

Editor’s Note: Special “Buy 3, Get One Free” ticket promotions have been announced for the Berkeley and Mountain View concert.

The Choir and Orchestra will be performing in seven cities in California, Washington, and Vancouver, Canada:

Costa Mesa, CA Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall Tuesday, June 19
Los Angeles, CA The Music Center's Walt Disney Concert Hall Wednesday, June 20
Berkeley, CA William Randolph Hearst Greek Theatre Saturday, June 23
Mountain View, CA Shoreline Ampitheatre Monday, June 25
Rohnert Park, CA Weill Hall + Lawn at the Green Music Center Wednesday, June 27
Vancouver, BC, Canada The Orpheum Saturday, June 30
Seattle, WA S. Mark Taper Auditorium at Benaroya Hall Monday, July 2

Since many visitors will come to Temple Square unaware that the Choir and Orchestra will be on tour, substitute events are planned during their absence. Please check here to find what is available.
