Ways to Enjoy the Choir in 2019!

“January—a perfect time to start all over again.”

The musical members of The Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Bells on Temple Square begin 2019 at full-speed this month!

Music & the Spoken Word: Broadcasting for 90 Years!

The Tabernacle Choir, different from almost all other choirs, presents a public performance every week of the year on its Music & the Spoken Word program, which began nearly 90 years ago in 1929! Today, Music & the Spoken Word is broadcast on Sundays over radio, television, and the internet. People can watch and listen to the live stream and recordings of the program anywhere they are in the world. The Music & the Spoken Word broadcast on January 13, 2019, marks the 4,661st weekly broadcast in the program's history—a record of continuous broadcasting unsurpassed by any other program.

The public is invited to attend the free Sunday morning broadcast in person in the Tabernacle each week. To accommodate larger audiences, the broadcast is moved to the Conference Center during the summer months (Memorial Day to Labor Day) and during December. Guests should be seated by 9:15 a.m. Check the website for specific information.

In addition to the weekly broadcasts, there are public rehearsals, concerts, and other performances scheduled throughout the coming year.
