Introducing Kendra Lowe: Multi-talented Pianist for David Archuleta

If you’ve watched the YouTube video of David Archuleta performing “Be Still, My Soul” for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, you’ve heard Kendra Lowe. She is the pianist accompanying Archuleta with a beautiful arrangement of the hymn. Lowe has also toured the world several times with Archuleta, performing violin and piano for his concerts. Of her tour-mate and friend she said, “David has taught me more than I can say. He has a beautiful light around him. He is so pure and so good and has made me want to become a better person by watching his example.”

Lowe is a talented multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, violin, viola, banjo, and the organ and received a scholarship to major in organ at BYU. By age two, she began playing the violin and performed with the Utah Symphony when she was six years old. She grew up in a large family in Provo, Utah, as one of seven children and spent five years in Branson, Missouri, as part of The Lowe Family, where she would perform six shows a week. In 2006, The Lowe Family were guest artists of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir for Music & the Spoken Word.

In addition to her skills with numerous musical instruments, Lowe is also an accomplished vocalist and has been compared to well-known artists such as Diana Krall or Michael Bublé. She is also an arranger, writer, and studio musician with a true passion for film and television scoring.

On June 24, Lowe will accompany Archuleta for a worldwide live Facebook chat.
