Lindsey Stirling Song Featured in Pete’s Dragon Movie

Former Choir guest artist Lindsey Stirling is flying high with her new song “Something Wild,” from the Disney movie Pete’s Dragon. “Something Wild” is a collaboration between Stirling and singer Andrew McMahon and already has 5 million video views on YouTube. Pete’s Dragon entered the box office charts at #3 and remains in the top ten after its third week in theaters.

Stirling won the hearts of America when she was featured on America’s Got Talent in 2010, when she was written off as “not good enough” by Piers Morgan and was told, “What you're doing is not enough to fill a theater in Vegas” by Sharon Osbourne. In 2014, Morgan admitted he was wrong on Twitter saying, “Congratulations ‪@LindseyStirling, you did indeed prove me wrong.”

Stirling’s rise to Internet and music stardom has been a remarkable one to say the least. Read our previous blog post, How Lindsey Stirling Became an Internet Sensation for the full story. Despite early roadblocks, she continues to surprise and break new ground with her videos, albums and performances. Congratulations Lindsey!
