Santino Fontana to Perform with the Choir for the Third Time in a Year
Perhaps three really is a magic number; Broadway and film actor, Santino Fontana, will perform with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir next weekend at the American Choral Directors Society (ACDA) concert. He will become the first guest artist to perform with the Choir three times in the space of a year. Fontana made his debut with the Choir at the 2014 Pioneer Day concert last July and returned a mere five months later for the Christmas concert, which also featured the Sesame Street Muppets™.
The ACDA concert will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. in the conference center in Salt Lake City. Although tickets for the concert have sold out, standby seating will be available the day of the concert on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional Choir guest artists will be Sylvia McNair, U.S. Air Force Singing Sergeants and the combined ACDA National Conference Honor Choirs.
Fontana starred as Price Hans in Disney’s Frozen, and talked about his role as the “bad guy” in this hilarious clip from the Pioneer Day concert. During the same concert he also performed “Something’s Coming” from West Side Story, “She Likes Basketball,” from Promises Promises, “How to Handle a Woman,” from Camelot, "Never Never Land," fromPeter Pan, "Ten Minutes Ago," from Cinderella and a “Happy” Medley. Below is a video of the entire Pioneer Day concert, followed by a video that was put together by the ACDA regarding this year’s concert
