Lindsey Stirling began studying the violin at the age of five. After taking lessons for 12 years, she joined a rock band in high school and also won the Spirit Award in the America’s Junior Miss finals competition. She then enrolled at Brigham Young University in Provo, followed by a mission to New York City for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In 2010, she was a quarter-finalist on America’s Got Talent, where she was told by one of the judges, Sharon Osbourne, “You need to be in a group…I don’t think what you’re doing right now is enough to fill a theater in Vegas.” Stirling has definitely proven her critics wrong. Shortly after the show, her YouTube channel began to gain popularity and now has over 521 million total views and over 4 million subscribers. She has released a self-titled album and has toured North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia and has no plans of slowing down. In 2014, her tour schedule is loaded from March to July.
