Singing With Angels Movie Now in Theaters!

Many people have personal experience being touched, motivated, or influenced in a positive way by the music in their lives. This power of music is a central theme in the new full-length fictionalized motion picture Singing With Angels by Candlelight Media Group which opens today in theaters in Utah and Idaho. This movie is NOT a documentary! It is a fictionalized, heart-warming story of one woman’s journey as she becomes a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.  The movie depicts the strength she draws from music to help her through the struggles she and her family face.

Reactions from those seeing the movie have been overwhelmingly positive.  Noted film director T. C. Christensen said, “The opening scene alone is worth the price of admission.”  “What a wonderful, uplifting story of the power of inspired music in our lives,” said Jared F. Brown, president of Living Scriptures, Inc. Adding his take on the film, Ron Jarrett, president of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, stated, ‘The story is an affirmation that the Choir’s music can bring peace and hope and transform lives”.

The movie’s screenplay was developed by Brittany Wiscombe who reviewed many Choir histories and records to find inspiring true events which are captured in the script.  Filming for the movie was done at the Tabernacle on Temple Square with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square as well as other locations in Utah.  Choir members play auxiliary roles in the film and many served as extras.  Plan now to see this wonderful movie. It is a unique mixture of inspirational stories that reaffirm the power of music in a way that resonates with audiences.
