Watch the Inspiring Music Video for “Have I Done Any Good?”

This video from The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square is a wonderful gem! The video is set to the hymn “Have I Done Any Good?” a track from the album Let Us All Press On: Hymns of Praise and Inspiration.

The video starts out on a busy morning in the home of a family rushing to get somewhere. The sons are joking around and gathering their musical instruments as the teen daughter—clearly not as excited to go—is stalling on her phone. Mom and Dad wrangle the children in an effort to make it to their destination on time, but not before taking a quiet moment for a family prayer.

The action cuts to various musicians in their element, realizing that they also have an important place to be. They each make their own quick exits and head to their destination.

Follow the journey of the family and a group of fellow musicians on their journey to do good in the world. We hope this video will inspire you to “wake up and do something more.” Watch and share “Have I Done Any Good?”

Have I Done Any Good? (Lyrics)

Have I done any good in the world today?
Have I helped anyone in need?
Have I cheered up the sad and made someone feel glad?
If not, I have failed indeed.
Has anyone's burden been lighter today
Because I was willing to share?
Have the sick and the weary been helped on their way?
When they needed my help was I there?

Then wake up and do something more
Than dream of your mansion above.
Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure,
A blessing of duty and love.

There are chances for work all around just now,
Opportunities right in our way.
Do not let them pass by, saying, "Sometime I'll try,"
But go and do something today.
'Tis noble of man to work and to give;
Love's labor has merit alone.
Only he who does something helps others to live.
To God each good work will be known.
