2019 Orchestra at Temple Square 20th Anniversary Concert
The Orchestra at Temple Square was established in 1999 as a companion ensemble to The Tabernacle Choir. Each week, up to 85 musicians drawn from a roster of nearly 200 volunteers provide instrumental support to the Choir in the weekly broadcast of Music & the Spoken Word. The Orchestra performs with the Choir in joint concerts and presents its own fall symphonic concert in the Tabernacle.
Fall Concert Dates
October 25–26 (Friday–Saturday) in the Tabernacle on Temple Square at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets for the concerts on Friday and Saturday are free of charge will be available on Tuesday, September 24, at www.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/events. Each patron may request up to four complimentary tickets. Admission is open to those eight years of age and older. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Patrons should be in their seats by 7:15 p.m.
Since its founding, members of the Orchestra have performed on tour with the Choir. Orchestra members, like The Tabernacle Choir members, support the work of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
