Dates for 2018 Messiah Concert and live stream announced!

Mark your calendars now to join the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square during the 2018 Easter season to enjoy Messiah on March 22 and 23, 2018, in the Salt Lake Tabernacle on Temple Square. Join us in person or through magic of internet technology. As a gift to everyone  around the world who will be celebrating the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah concert will be live streamed over the internet on March 23, 2018, and will available for viewing for the week following the concert from our website. During the Choir’s 2016 Easter Messiah concert digital stream, more than 170,000 people in over 190 countries around the world joined us in their homes with family and friends, or with larger groups in churches, schools, and community centers.  Plan to join us in 2018!

New landmark recording of Handel’s Messiah now available

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square in March 2016, released their new recording of the famed oratorio of Messiah, an edition by Mack Wilberg for large choir and orchestra. This new recording relies on historical research and Baroque musical tradition to create a new Messiah for our time and is available in two options — the Complete Oratorio with a behind-the-scenes bonus DVD, and a 60-minute Highlights version!

Messiah Sing | #MessiahLive

Community, music, and church groups around the world joined together with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square on March 25, 2016, to celebrate Easter and experience their own Messiah Sing events via a live stream of the Internet. Using the On-Demand availability, others around the world will join with from many venues to enjoy that same experience. We have invited everyone to share their Messiah experiences with us! Come and see what others are sharing and plan to join with us by sharing your own experience using social media at #MessiahLive!

As a thank you to all our participants we have prepared a commemorative participation certificate (8.5" x 11" suitable for printing) to mark the March 25, 2016 Messiah Sing event. A participation certificate with no date is available for other event dates.
