Can I bring young children to Music & the Spoken Word?

Children of every age are welcome and each child needs their own free ticket. Children under 8 are asked to be in the quiet room rather than the hall. It holds fifty people, is first-come and cannot be reserved, so arrive early.

The quiet room is at the back of the Tabernacle with a large window into the hall and televisions showing the broadcast, so families see and hear everything. Because the Tabernacle is a historic building the room is small — fifty people is the limit, and once it fills, families are asked to wait outside.

If you cannot risk the quiet room being full, consider the Thursday evening rehearsal instead. Children of any age are welcome in the hall itself, no ticket is required, there is no capacity restriction, and people come and go freely — so a twenty-minute visit is perfectly normal.

Restrooms are not inside the Tabernacle. They are in an adjacent building about 40 yards away, so plan a stop before being seated.
