How do I audition for The Tabernacle Choir?
Auditions run from June 1 to August 15 each year. They are open to members of the Church in good standing who hold a current temple recommend, are aged 25 to 55, and live within 100 miles of Temple Square. The process has four phases, and the residency requirement exists so members can attend weekly.
Members are released at age 60.
The 100-mile radius is not an arbitrary hurdle — it exists because members attend a Thursday evening rehearsal and a Sunday morning broadcast every week.
The window is the same every year, so if you have missed it, the next one opens on June 1.
