Do I need tickets to attend Music & the Spoken Word?
Yes. Free reservations are required for the Sunday morning broadcast at the Salt Lake Tabernacle. Reserve online or in the Temple Square app using only your name and email address — no account needed. You receive a digital ticket with a QR code, which you can also print.
This is a change. Music & the Spoken Word was free to attend without a reservation for decades, and reservations became required in May 2026.
The reason is capacity. The Conference Center is under construction, so the Choir is performing in the Salt Lake Tabernacle, which seats about 2,000. Typical summer Sunday attendance runs closer to 3,000 — so reservations exist to make sure nobody travels to Temple Square only to be turned away at the door.
Every attendee needs their own ticket regardless of age, including infants.
