Choir Welcomes New Global Participants for October General Conference

Earlier this year, during the April 2023 general conference, The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square launched a pilot program that featured global participants being given the opportunity to sing with the Choir during general conference. This pilot program was intended to reflect the worldwide mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Given the success of the April initiative, plans have again been made to welcome new global participant singers to the Choir for the October 2023 general conference.

This group of global participants features singers from New Zealand, South Africa, Puerto Rico, Japan, South Korea, Ecuador, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

As before, each singer was recommended by their Area Presidency and invited to audition.

These participants, who are all faithful and qualified Latter-day Saints, come from different parts of the world, speak different languages, and have different life circumstances. But they all share a passion for music and a desire to share it with others. By singing together in the upcoming October general conference, these global participants will not only be sharing their love of music but also their faith and their desire to connect with others.
