About the Bells at Temple Square
In March 2005, a new sound was added to the musical tradition of Temple Square with the creation of Bells at Temple Square, an ensemble organized as part of The Tabernacle Choir organization. Like the members of the Choir, the Orchestra at Temple Square, and the Temple Square Chorale, the bell choir members are all volunteers.
Now celebrating its 20th year, Bells at Temple Square features 32 accomplished musicians who perform semiannual concerts and regularly appear in concerts and recordings with The Tabernacle Choir, including the annual Christmas Concert. The ensemble has earned national recognition, including invitations to perform at Handbell Musicians of America conferences.
