Songs of Hope World Tour
Lima
February 2025 · Estadio Nacional. More than 33,000 people, and audiences who traveled from four countries to be there.
Thirty-three thousand voices
On the night of February 22, 2025, more than 33,000 people filled Peru’s National Stadium in Lima for the Choir’s final concert of the visit — the fourth stop on the Songs of Hope world tour, and the first of three in South America marking a century since the Church was established on the continent.
The program included several songs in Spanish. Guest artists Adassa, Alex Melecio, Mauricio Mesones and Fonseca joined the Choir, and three singers from the region took part through the Global Participant Program: Yanina Murga of Ecuador, Marcelo Maldonado of Bolivia, and a third from Peru itself.
“The Tabernacle Choir is a choir of the world,” Murga said. “It shows how much our Heavenly Father loves us, because the music is amazing.”
Audiences came from well beyond Lima — from Ecuador, Bolivia and Colombia. Edith Sáenz, a Bolivian Latter-day Saint, traveled twenty-four hours by bus to be in the stadium. “I feel privileged to be here and see the Choir live,” she said.
