The Piano Guys Welcome the Choir to YouTube
If you haven’t heard of The Piano Guys, you probably haven’t spent much time on YouTube. They are a four-member musical group best classified as orchestral pop. Their members are Jon Schmidt, Steven Sharp Nelson, Paul Anderson, and Al Van Der Beek. Their YouTube channel has over 2.4 million subscribers and roughly 334 million views.
In 2013, The Piano Guys were nominated for a YouTube Music Award for their video “Titanium/Pavane,” in the category of “Response of the Year.” The group was also featured on The Today Show this past December, performing the title track from their album “Angels We Have Heard On High.” They have also been featured on CBS Second Cup Café, Katie Couric, Fox News, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
They have performed songs by Taylor Swift, One Direction, Coldplay, and music from films such as Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, and many more. The group has said, “Our story is a miracle. We’re just a bunch of ordinary guys playing classically influenced instrumental music in videos that showcase incredible locations.”
When the Mormon Tabernacle Choir launched its YouTube channel, The Piano Guys took a moment to welcome the Choir aboard. Check out this video and take a few seconds to subscribe to our channel. We post new videos weekly.
