The Tabernacle Choir Blog

What Is the YouTube Bell Icon Used For?

Are you a Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square super fan? Do you refresh the YouTube channel to see if new videos have been uploaded? Would you like to be notified every time the Choir uploads a new video?

Some of you may have noticed a bell icon that appears when you subscribe to a YouTube channel—or perhaps a video prompted you to click the bell icon. This bell is your key to getting access to every new upload from the Choir, and it’s super easy.

How to Activate YouTube Notifications

Step 1: Subscribe

You must subscribe before you can get the notifications. To subscribe, follow this link to the YouTube channel for The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square. Click the red subscribe button. Subscribership is important because it gives the Choir’s videos the potential to reach a larger viewing audience faster. For instance, if 10% of 100 subscribers watches and shares a video, it wouldn’t have near the impact of 10% of 100,000 subscribers watching and sharing a video.

Click the gray bell icon that appears next to the subscribe button. The bell will change with an outline to appear like it’s ringing. And that’s it! You will now be alerted about all of the amazing videos that we release.

Congratulations! You are on your way to receiving the latest and greatest from The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square.

We’re positive you’ve already seen “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” “Amazing Grace,” “Hallelujah,” “Homeward Bound,” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” While you’re here, watch some of our other YouTube videos.
