Piping Up! Organ Concerts

Streamed Every Wednesday at Noon (Mountain Time)

Programs for Each Concert:

Request Organ Repertoire for Future Concert Performance

Hearkening back to a Temple Square tradition from years ago, Piping Up! fans can request repertoire for consideration for performance in a future concert. If you would like to submit a request, please click here to enter the title and composer of the organ piece.

Periodically requested music from patrons will be featured on a Piping Up! organ stream with a footnote indicating it is a listener request.

About the Concerts

Noon organ concerts have been a tradition on Temple Square for more than a century. In 2020 the pandemic temporarily halted this tradition, but in June 2020 the noon organ concerts resumed using digital streams, without an audience but with full COVID-compliant precautions.

All five accomplished Tabernacle and Temple Square organists, Richard Elliott, Andrew Unsworth, Brian Mathias, Linda Margetts, and Joseph Peeples, are featured in this continuing concert streaming tradition. Each concert features one of the five organists performing a wide variety of music selections from classical to traditional hymns and spirituals.

Piping Up! Concerts Are Available on Demand

The weekly Wednesday organ streams are available for viewing on-demand following the stream. Previous concerts are found on the Choir’s YouTube channel with the name of the performing organist and their concert music repertoire listed.
