Artist Information

Kelli O’Hara is one of the rare singers who has managed to find a home performing in Broadway musicals, concerts, and the Metropolitan Opera.  Ms. O’Hara received her degree in vocal performance/opera from Oklahoma City University. After winning the Oklahoma State Metropolitan Opera Competition, she moved to New York City where she made her debut on Broadway.  She has received seven Tony Award nominations—one of only four women to achieve that number—winning Best Actress in a Musical in 2015 for her performance as Anna Leonowens in the critically acclaimed revival of The King and I. She received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance of Katie Bonner in the hit web series The Accidental Wolf.

Although primarily known for her career on the Broadway stage, Ms. O'Hara has also appeared in numerous films and television series, including the role of Mrs. Darling in NBC's live televised musical Peter Pan Live! She also starred twice in the popular series Live from Lincoln Center, as Nellie Forbush in South Pacific in 2008, and as Julie Jordan in Carousel in 2013.

In 2014 she made her Metropolitan Opera debut in The Merry Widow and has since returned as Despina in Così fan tutte. Her solo concerts have gained international acclaim, spanning from New York’s Carnegie Hall all the way to Tokyo. She is a frequent performer on PBS’s live telecasts and the Kennedy Center Honors. Ms. O’Hara has received two Grammy Award nominations for her solo albums, Always and Wonder in the World.
