Messiah tickets still available!
March 1: There are still free tickets available for the Conference Center Theater! See link below.
To celebrate the Easter season with Christians around the world, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square will present Handel’s beloved oratorio Messiah on Thursday, March 22, and Friday, March 23, in the Salt Lake City Tabernacle on Temple Square.
Tickets for all Temple Square locations will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis on Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. MDT exclusively through lds.org/events. To provide as much seating as possible, the concert will be heard in three locations on Temple Square:
- Salt Lake Tabernacle: Live concert
- Joseph Smith Building Legacy Theater: Premium sound simulcast
- Conference Center Theater: Closed-circuit simulcast
Tickets for the concert are free but are required. Tickets for the Messiah concerts in 2014 and 2016 were distributed in less than 10 minutes. Patrons will be able to request two tickets. Since a username and password are required to request tickets on lds.org/events, patrons are encouraged to set up that account prior to the ticket availability date. Admission is open to those eight years and older. (Temple Square locations will not be sing-along events.) Standby seating is generally available at each location.
Additional Messiah Viewing Options Are Available
For those who are unable to get tickets or who are simply not able to join us in Salt Lake City, there are several additional ways to enjoy the Messiah concert. All that is needed is an internet connection!
Watch in the comfort of your own home or organize your own group at other locations to join us for this event. This is your opportunity to schedule a Messiah sing-along at a time convenient for you! Check out the “How to View Messiah” on the Choir’s website for details about the following:
Live Stream:
A live stream of the concert via the internet on March 23, 2018, begins with a pre-concert feed at 7:00 p.m. and the full concert at 7:30 p.m. MDT.
