5 Mormon Tabernacle Choir Songs From the Movies
Most people love the escape of a good movie—as a matter of fact, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is the subject of a feature film titled Singing with Angels. Here are five songs by the Choir that have been featured in popular movies.
In the opening scene of the 2005 movie Madagascar, Marty the zebra daydreams of being free and running in the wild of Africa. During his daydream, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir can be heard singing the song “Born Free,” composed by John Barry.
A Christmas Story
In the final scene of the Christmas classic A Christmas Story, the Choir can be heard singing “Silent Night” as Ralphie’s parents enjoy a moment of much needed peace by the Christmas tree as snow falls outside of the window.

Deck the Halls
The Choir’s rendition of “Joy to the World” was included in the 2006 film Deck the Halls.
