See What People Are Saying about the New “O Come, Little Children” Music Video
Each year for the last four years, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir has released a new music video for the Christmas season. And each year, the videos bring a spirit of joy and happiness and invite viewers to think about Christmas in a different way. If you loved our previous videos, you’ll love this year’s video.
The music video is set to the song “O Come, Little Children,” which was performed during the 2016 Christmas concert with Rolando Villazón. The text for the song was written by Christoph von Schmid, using a German carol arranged by the Choir’s director, Mack Wilberg. The lyrics invite children to come unto Christ “with hearts full of thanks for the gift which we see.”
The video follows a child’s visit to a children’s cancer hospital. The boy, who wears full hockey gear to give him strength, nervously enters his hospital room with his parents. When a girl from a neighboring room appears waving at the door, his fears ease, and he is able to smile. When the boy’s mother leaves the room and breaks down crying, the girl decides to help by removing the decorations from her room and bringing them to share with her new friend.

O Come, Little Children (Lyrics)
O come, little children, O come, one and all,
O come to the cradle in Bethlehem’s stall.
Come look in the manger, there sleeps on the hay
An infant so lovely, in light bright as day.
The hay is His pillow, the manger His bed,
The beasts stand in wonder to gaze on His head.
Yet there in the stable, so humble and poor,
Come shepherds and wise men to kneel at His door.
O bow with the shepherds on low bended knee,
With hearts full of thanks for the gift which we see.
O sing, little children, to Him you adore;
Sing joy to the world, love and peace evermore.
O sing, little children, to Him you adore;
Sing joy to the world, love and peace evermore.
Love and peace evermore.
