Mormon Tabernacle Choir Reaches 100 Million YouTube Views
On October 30, 2012, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir officially launched its YouTube channel. The announcement included congratulatory videos from Thomas S. Monson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; Brian Stokes Mitchell; Tom Brokaw; Dallyn Vail Bayles; the Piano Guys; Lindsey Stirling; and more. Five years later, the Choir has reached the enormous milestone of 100,000,000 YouTube views!
In five years’ time, the Choir has uploaded a variety of videos unlike anyone else. Some of the Choir’s unique videos include a behind-the-scenes tour of the Tabernacle attic, a 9/11 special narrated by Tom Brokaw, individual voice parts for Handel’s “Hallelujah” chorus with YouTube stars Peter and Evynne Hollens, Sesame Street® videos (the Count in the Tabernacle and rolling under the Conference Center stage), and an amazing assortment of tour videos.
