A Christmas chill is in the air, but tickets for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s annual Christmas concert are a hot item. Although all of the tickets to this year’s concert featuring Sutton Foster and Hugh Bonneville have been distributed, there is still an excellent chance of getting in, without being left out in the cold.

Standby

We encourage patrons without tickets to join the standby line each evening. Each year, many people in standby are seated in the Conference Center for the Christmas concert. Here’s how it works:

The standby line forms at the north gate of Temple Square approximately two hours prior to the concert start time. Patrons in this line will be seated in the Tabernacle and taken to the Conference Center to fill empty seats as they are available. Seats that are empty will be filled by those seated in the Tabernacle, even after the concert has started.

If by chance you don’t get in (and we hope you do), the entire Christmas program will be screened live on the big screens in the Tabernacle and in the Conference Center Little Theater—both of which have excellent video and sound quality.

Important: Children under Eight Years of Age

If you have tickets, be aware that children under eight will not be permitted into the Conference Center. However, children under eight are welcome to experience the concert in Tabernacle and Little Theater overflow sections.

We hope these standby options will enable you to see this wonderful Christmas concert with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Sutton Foster, Hugh Bonneville, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Bells on Temple Square. It will certainly be a night to remember.
