Ed Payne, Executive Producer for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, took a camera crew behind-the-scenes of the Choir’s Christmas Concert to get an up-close look at the details behind the event.

Audio monitoring is an essential part of any musician’s job. The performer needs to hear themselves as well as the other members of the ensemble. The person charged with making sure each performer hears what they need to hear during the event is the monitor engineer.

The monitor engineer who works with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Orchestra at Temple Square, and Bells on Temple Square, Curt Garner, has a big job with a lot of responsibility.
